Do I need to own a drone?
No. You do not have to own a drone in order to enroll in this workshop. This workshop prepares you to take the FAA Part 107 Licensing Exam so that you can legally operate a commercial drone.
How old do I have to be to enroll in this workshop?
You must be 16 years of age or older.
How is this different from the Build. Fly. Certify. Drone Program?
The Build. Fly. Certify. Drone Program is a full program to help students learn how to build a drone from scratch, in addition to preparing for the FAA Part 107 licensure exam. This 2-day workshop is an accelerated option that covers airspace classification/requirements, regulations, emergency procedures, crew resource management, radio procedures, maintenance, and weather in order for one to take and pass the exam.
