Explore the Orbits

Each Orbit is a hands-on learning pathway designed around a real-world technical system and a clear, industry-aligned outcome. Orbits move innovators beyond exposure and toward demonstrated capability, credentials, and opportunity.

The Orbit Model

From Curiosity to Capability

Phase 1

Launch into an Orbit

Innovators enroll in an Orbit aligned to a specific industry domain. Each Orbit represents a focused technical pathway built around a real-world system, applied engineering concepts, and a culminating credential or industry-aligned outcome.

Phase 2

Build Within the Orbit

Work with real tools, hardware, software, or technical platforms. Build, assemble, code, configure, or design functional systems. Troubleshoot failures and iterate solutions through guided experimentation.

Phase 3

Achieve Orbit Readiness

Innovators demonstrate functional competence through practical demonstrations, skills checklists, and performance-based challenges that validate real capability.

Phase 4

Deploy Beyond the Orbit

Every Orbit culminates in a tangible, externally meaningful outcome. Innovators leave with clarity on careers, internships, college majors, entrepreneurship, and advanced certification pathways.

Drone Program

Build. Fly. Certify.

The Build. Fly. Certify. Orbit immerses innovators in drone systems engineering, flight operations, and aviation regulations through hands-on construction and applied learning. Innovators build a functional quadcopter, learn the physics and engineering principles that govern flight, and develop the knowledge required to pursue FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certification.
